A HISTORY OF COMMON THREAD
Light as interplay of land and atmosphere
Northern New Mexico: High Plateau and Rift Zone. A vast area bordered on the east by the Sangre de Cristo Range and on the west by the Lower San Juan Range. The Upper Rio Grande Watershed. 36°23 26’ N Latitude. Sub-humid Climate. A good place for respecting the Earth.
Common Thread opened in early winter of 1992. Within this spare and expansive geography we experience the radiance and reflection of a full spectrum of light. Ultraviolet and blue-green skies and pink and glowing orange sunrises and sunsets--abound.. Wo! Hah! Many artists have been drawn to Northern New Mexico for these reasons.
In this spacious land, there exists a domain of quiet and view. Here one can peacefully explore the essence of color--and texture
